Leon turned 3!

       I love you both so much and I love watching you both grow up together. What a blessing it is for you both to have each other. I can already see that you two will be close friends growing up. Of course you will fight like all siblings do, you have already begun to, but your love for each other will always be there. I love you both so much and I thank God for blessing me with two amazing children who continue to bless my life every day.

Leon,

       These last couple of weeks have been very busy. Your Nana and Papa moved into a beautiful new house that is very close to our house (you were very happy about this.) After 2 weeks of moving they are settling into their new place, and you are anxiously awaiting your first sleep over in Nana and Papa's new house!                        

       This last weekend you spent the afternoon at Grandma's (my Mama) house while Daddy and I went car shopping! It was a lot of work, but we found the right car for our family. I LOVE my 'new to me' mini van! A 2006 Honda Odyssey! Your initial response wasn't really one of excitement. I said "Leon isn't our new van cool?!" and your response was "Its a little bit cool." After a few days you have come to love it as much as I do, especially since we get to drive it to fun places during the week while Daddy is at work. We went to story time at the library, fed the birds at the beach and went grocery shopping. You love helping me run errands now in our cool new van. :)

       Today it is pouring down rain, so we are having a stay at home and make soup and clean the house day, which is always fun too. You helped me vacuum and picked up your toys, which is always a great help. Now we are settling down for some arts and crafts time before Daddy gets home from work. I love you Leon!

Naomi,

       You are in such a hurry to do everything. You absolutely love your big brother and you want to follow him everywhere. Now that you have mastered crawling, you are pulling yourself up on everything and even beginning to stand on your own. Of course there have been a few falls in the learning process. You fell and hit your face on a toy the other day, sending your two bottom teeth into your top lip. You weren't deterred for long, only minutes later you were crawling around and standing up once again. I know walking isn't far off now. Soon you will be chasing your brother all over the house, and of course getting into everything (if you are anything like your Mommy.)

       I am amazed at how fast you are learning things lately. Your Daddy and I have started teaching you some sign language, so far the sign for milk is your favorite. You are such a bright, happy and interactive baby. Your smile, so big and sweet, always puts a smile on my face. I love you with all of my heart Naomi, my sweet daughter.

When I began this blog, I fully intended to keep it up, but life got busy and I pushed it off to the side. I miss writing about my kids and my crazy days of being a stay at home mom, and I realize that time is slipping by and my kids are growing up. So here I am once again, attempting to start this weekly blog devoted to telling my kids how much I love them, and journaling about the memories we make together. I look forward to filling this blog with lots of fun posts and photos! :)

       My sweet son, where do I begin? You are growing up so fast into a smart and wonderful little boy. You took a big step towards becoming a big kid when you decided to use the potty for the first time just a few days before Thanksgiving. You are now a potty pro and you love all your cool new big boy underwear. Ever since you took that step you have become much more independent and you want to do all sorts of big kid things now. You have even started asking about going to school. You love doing your preschool learning at home on the computer and next fall you will start preschool and go to school like a big kid. You are such a smart boy and I know you will enjoy it and do well. I can't believe you are growing up so fast! I say it all the time, but it just blows my mind how fast the years go by. I love you Leon, my big boy!

Naomi,

       My daughter, my baby girl, you have grown and changed so much in the last few months. You are now mobile, crawling around the house and getting into everything! I can tell that you will be my mischievous one. You are very curious, and once you decide that you want something, you will try anything to get it. I have even caught you pulling yourself to a stand! You love to chase your big brother around the house and you watch everything he does with amazement and wonder. I love watching you two play and giggle and I know you will be good friends as you grow up together.

       You got your first two teeth only a few weeks ago, and since then you have loved trying all sorts of new and exciting foods. So far your favorites are avacado, cheese and peas. You grow more beautiful every day. I love you my Sweetpea!

Naomi Discovered Her Toes

Leon,

       The past week or so has been filled with rainy days, forcing us to stay inside all day. Some days you get very bored, so we have to come up with creative ways to stay entertained. Building a cardboard rocket ship was a big hit, and you really enjoyed decorating it. Craft time has become your favorite time of day. We make all sorts of fun things, from cute felt stuffed animals to lovely beaded jewelry. You are always so proud of our creations and love to show them off when Daddy gets home from work. Today we are experimenting with paper mache. So far it has been fun, but very messy. You and a big bowl of glue and bits of paper, maybe not my most well thought out craft idea. When our paper mache creation is complete we should have a beautiful jelly fish to hang in your room. It may be almost winter, but we sure know how to have fun on cold rainy days.

 

Naomi,

       You discovered two things this week that you really love. First you discovered that you have feet and you figured out how to put your toes in your mouth much to your amusement. A few days later you found your voice, or your squeaker as I have been calling it. You now squeak and squeal all day long with a big happy grin on your face.

       A few weeks ago you learned how to roll from front to back. You have now perfected that technique. You love to roll onto your tummy and pivet to turn yourself around. I am so proud of you sweetie and love watching you learn new things. You are growing so fast!

The Beginning of a New Chapter

       A New Normal

       Well, I am back. I took a much needed break from blogging to get accustomed to life with two children. Leon is doing amazing at being a big brother and loves his baby sister very much. Naomi is now four months old and is growing beautifully and is full of smiles. Now that having two kids has become my new normal, I figured it is time to start my new blog "I Love You Two", the sequel to my previous blog devoted to my son "I Love You Daily." This new blog won't be a daily blog, that is just too much to commit to at the moment. For now this will be a weekly blog where I post a little letter to each of the kids along with pictures and stories from the week. I absolutely loved my year of "I Love You's" I did for my son. It is great to go back and read each daily post and reminisce. Here's to another year, or even longer maybe, of posts, pictures and memories.
